Quantum mechanics is the foundation of future technologies like computing and cryptography, yet its abstract nature often discourages students. ExQuMe tackles this by moving beyond traditional textbooks.
Our project develops five immersive VR modules where students are not just spectators, but participants. Guided by virtual representations of scientific pioneers, learners explore wave-particle duality, superposition, and entanglement in a way that is intuitive, engaging, and scientifically rigorous.
Utilizing VR to reduce cognitive load and visualize phenomena that cannot be seen in a traditional lab.
Featuring pioneers like Marie Curie and Maria Goeppert Mayer to promote gender diversity and representation in STEM.
All project results and VR modules are released as Open Educational Resources (OER) for universities worldwide.
ExQuMe is built on a foundation of international expertise and a commitment to measurable educational results across the European Higher Education Area.
